A roadshow tailored for projects focused on biomedicine and silver economy took place in SIP on June 26 as one of the BioMatch Series sponsored by the National UniversityBiotechnology Regional Transfer and Transformation Center (Suzhou, Jiangsu) for the purpose of promoting transfer and transformation of biomedical technologies from universities. Nine projects from Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU) were presented.
At the event, the center gave the participants an introduction to its “pay after use” patent transfer mode which is designed to reduce the technical threshold for enterprises, its four-level comprehensive insurance system for risk control in commercialization of research findings from higher education institutions, its professional technology managers’ team, and its proof of concept (POC) fund and early-stage investment fund.
The projects demonstrated advancement in biotechnology and solutions for development of silver economy, covering AI-driven immunotherapy for cancer treatment and intelligent diagnosis of cardiovascular diseases. A signing ceremony was held for five of the projects to be commercialized in SIP.
