The participants of the second session of the “Young Skyline Guards” Training Class, a building safety education program initiated by the Administrative Committee of SIP’s Jinji Lake CBD in collaboration with the Communist Youth League SIP Working Committee, took part in a series of events carried out last month to mark the country’s 24th Work Safety Month.
In one of the events, the trainees, who are responsible for safety management for high-rises, learned first aid skills such as the CPR (cardio-pulmonary resuscitation) procedure, the use of an AED (automated external defibrillator) and the Heimlich manoeuvre.
The trainees also attended a lecture on safety pitfall detection in a company, and partook in a contest of detecting potential safety hazards.
Later, the trainees competed in a firefighting skills competition where they demonstrated excellent performance.
