SIP and ACWA Power, a Saudi Arabia-based company that is a developer, investor and operator of power generation and desalinated water plants, signed an agreement in Suzhou on June 29 for an ACWA Power subsidiary to set up a headquarters in SIP for operations in China. Xu Kunlin, governor of East China’s Jiangsu province, and Mohammad Abunayyan, the founder and chairman of ACWA Power, witnessed the signing.

In the meeting, Xu extended welcome to the delegation of ACWA Power and the project, and gave the guests an introduction to Jiangsu’s new energy industry, promising to offer all-around services for the project.

Mohammad Abunayyan said ACWA Power is firmly confident in the future development of China and Jiangsu province, hoping to increase investment in areas such as new energy power generation, green hydrogen and seawater desalination in Jiangsu.
