The 15th Jiangsu Book Fair, scheduled at Suzhou International Expo Centre in SIP from July 3 to 7, is designed to offer all booklovers a chance to share the joy of reading.
The event brings together over 80,000 publications from more than 400 publishers and distributors. There are various theme pavilions with classic and new books for people in different age brackets, and books designed for special purposes such as spread of good family traditions and moralities and popularization of science.
Many pavilions are equipped with high-tech applications such as virtual reality (VR) and artificial intelligence (AI) devices to make reading and learning more interesting and attractive.
SIP’s cultural venues have joined the grand reading carnival with various activities. The Phoenix International Book Mall (Suzhou) is showcasing an array of selected books, and offers discounts on them.
Suzhou Eslite Bookstore, SIP Library, SIP Northern Citizen Center and SIP Southern Citizen Center are jointly pushing forward a book exhibition, offering over 10,000 books that people can borrow with the SIP Library Card.
The libraries at SIP Northern Citizen Center and SIP Southern Citizen Center are hosting another book exhibition featuring selected classic works of science fiction from home and abroad as well as representative works by contemporary young science fiction writers in China.
The Harmony Study at SIP Library is showcasing a collection of books about history, culture and development of Singapore and Suzhou.
On the schedule of the event are also a series of activities such as launch of new books by famous writers, writing training and book sharing.
