SIP Jingcheng School’s new campus at Wangdun Road has entered the final acceptance review stage, and is set to come into operation as the autumn semester begins. The project boasts ingenious design, integrated functions and beautiful environment.
With a total floor area of about 77,000 square meters, this new campus will house 36 classes. It consists of the north building comprising classrooms and offices, and the south building with canteens, lecture halls and an indoor stadium.
The sleek, modern facades are eye-catching. The teaching building covered by glass curtain walls is consistent with the surrounding landscape in terms of design style. The interior design ensures optimal natural lighting and ventilation.
“There are floors with extra height, lending the building a sense of openness while creating room for sports activities. It is a perfect fusion of aesthetics and functionality,” explained Chen Yibo, the project manager.
The campus offers a diverse range of distinctive sports facilities, such as the circular running track on the first floor, an outdoor football field on the fourth floor, the rooftop running track on the fifth floor, and the indoor badminton court on the eighth floor.
It is worth mentioning that the project is the 100th school completed by Suzhou Industrial Park Urban Renovation & Development Co Ltd (SIPURD), a company that has undertaken 108 education infrastructure projects in SIP since 2009.
